Goguksu Jeju Airport Branch Review: A ₩50,000 Set with Hairtail Noodles and Fried Octopus

Bibim noodles, noodles with fried hairtail, and fried octopus on a table at Goguksu
Our feast set for 2–3 people included bibim noodles, noodles with fried hairtail, and fried octopus.

During our trip to Jeju, we stopped at Goguksu Airport Main Branch for noodles.

You might expect a menu focused on pork noodles, but there was quite a variety: noodles with fried hairtail, bibim noodles, fried octopus, and black pork soup with rice.

Instead of ordering everything separately, we chose the feast set for 2–3 people, with bibim noodles, hairtail noodles, and fried octopus.

Receipt showing the Goguksu Airport Main Branch set for 2–3 people and additional options
The set for 2–3 people was ₩44,000. With the hairtail noodle and fried octopus options, we paid ₩50,000 in total.

According to our receipt, the basic set for 2–3 people cost ₩44,000. The hairtail noodle option added ₩3,000, and the fried octopus option added another ₩3,000, bringing our total payment to ₩50,000.

We selected bibim noodles, hairtail noodles, and fried octopus for our 2–3-person set, and also ordered a zero-sugar cola.

Side Dishes: Pickled Celtuce, Kimchi, and White Kimchi

Our side dishes were pickled celtuce, kimchi, and white kimchi.

The side dishes arrived while we waited for our food. On our visit, there were three: pickled celtuce, kimchi, and white kimchi.

The Pond and Garden Caught Our Eye, Too

A pond, stone walls, and trees form the garden view beyond the large windows.

One of the things that stood out at Goguksu was the view from inside.

Through the large windows, we could see a pond, Jeju stone walls, trees, and plants. A noodle shop might bring to mind a quick meal before moving on, but the area by the windows felt more relaxed than we expected.

The Fried Octopus Stood Out on the Table

The fried octopus came in large pieces, with the shape of its arms clearly visible.

The first dish that caught our eye was definitely the fried octopus.

Rather than small chopped pieces, it came in large pieces with the shape of the octopus arms still clearly visible. A sauce was served alongside it.

The à la carte menu listed the crispy fried octopus at ₩28,000. In our feast set, choosing the fried octopus added ₩3,000.

The Bibim Noodles Came with Plenty of Toppings

The bibim noodles came with plenty of vegetables, thin strips of egg, a boiled egg, and sauce.

The bibim noodles came in a large bowl with red sauce, a boiled egg, and sesame seeds on top. Cucumber, carrot, cabbage, and thin strips of egg were arranged generously around the noodles.

Noodles with Fried Hairtail: A Combination That Felt Like Jeju

The clear-broth noodles and crispy fried hairtail were served separately.

Of the dishes we ordered, the noodles with fried hairtail felt like the most distinctly Jeju combination.

The fresh noodles in clear broth and the fried hairtail were served separately, so we could enjoy each on its own.

The menu listed the fresh noodles with fried hairtail at ₩13,000 on their own. For our feast set, selecting the hairtail noodle option added ₩3,000.

It Was Quite a Spread Once Everything Arrived

With the bibim noodles, noodles with fried hairtail, and fried octopus all laid out together, the table looked quite full.

As the name suggests, the feast set for 2–3 people suited a meal where we wanted to try several dishes at once.

A Convenient Meal Stop Near Jeju Airport

Goguksu Airport Main Branch is fairly close to Jeju Airport, making it easy to fit into our route for a first meal after arriving in Jeju or a meal before heading to the airport on the last day.

What Stood Out from Our Visit

  • Being able to order several dishes together in a set for 2–3 people
  • The striking appearance of the fried octopus
  • The pond and garden scenery outside the windows

I plan to add more detail about the flavors in the final review, based on our dining experience. Looking at the price and selection alone, though, this was a good way to try several dishes during our Jeju trip.
